Pick up your pen...

*the cole haan spring campaign is wrapping up...but here is one more ad that just came out in paper magazine...that's me and my frames (i wear them when i draw) and the necklaces that live around my neck.

In the city we forgot to name...

*up early, oatmeal (brown sugar, blueberries, raspberries, milk...earl grey tea)...walk a mile or whatever instead of hopping in a taxi...walked a little more and then rain rain rain...that's how it's been all week...rain.
*leather/printing/stamping/test/pages/layout...
*i don't know...it's friday...do something/nothing/whatever

I won't take it...

A year later...

*my friend mark andrew snapped some pics for my portfolio at the ace hotel a few weeks ago...i can't believe it has been a year since i drew on the walls in room 1208. i added a few new drawings (couldn't help it)...you can check out the original story here and here.

Don't forget I love you...

*oatmeal (honey, blueberries, milk), earl grey tea, tunes, jeans/tank, rain/umbrella/taxi...play, laundry, draw, toast, hummus, carrots, pickles, tomatoes, parmesan...strange sandwich...flat white at grumps...drizzle drizzle...that type of day...yeah.

He's waking up...

*take a walk, take it easy, take a breath...pick up a coffee...pick up a pen...make a mark
*kiss a hand, kiss a cheek, kiss a nose, kiss lips, kiss hello/goodbye...let them know you love them

It's working and I fixed it...

*sleeping like i mean it...yeah i'm dreaming...up/waffles/pears/milk/juice/kids, jeans/white tank/white shirt, sip of oj, pack lunch, taxi, drop off, tea/muffin, talk, meeting/book, taxi, soho/pick up new jeans (same pair but my old ones ripped...so yeah), snack (spinach pie, greek salad), home, 20 minute snooze on the couch, taxi, pick up, walk....on and on and on...

Make it work...

*take a break/take it in
*walk/ride/walk
*sip/bite/sip
*look/listen/love

It's a mess...

*granola, milk...tea...taxi, 6th fl, kick kick play, home, mess, party/presents, cupcakes, whatever...pilates, fresh mozz/tomato/basil...taxi, party, taxi, sit on the stoop...home...
*happy mother's day (sunday) to my amazing mom...she's the beyond anything a girl could ask for in a mom...i'm a lucky girl.

Watching them come and go...

*late sleeper, neck biter, long looker, heart stopper, stoop sitter...
*poached eggs with curried lentils, yogurt and cilantro at the breslin...pot of earl grey
*draw/walk/listen

*back in nyc...i love it here...always happy to be home
