*yesterday morning i perched myself on a stool at cafe habana and doodled for a bit between bites of oh so delicious huevos rancheros and sips of a steamy cafe con leche (decaf..ah pregnancy)...while i was drawing, my ears were listening to the conversation between the waitress and the new gal who in was in training...the experienced waitress was going on and on about side orders, salsas etc and then she said, "the only free thing here is white mayonnaisse"...and then the bartender added "and hugs"....yeah...white mayo and hugs...funny, right?
*candy tulips and lou in tights...grabbing paper/pens and heading out to sip and draw...
*...i grew up in miami and the waves were pretty tiny but the boys would still ride them and occasionally i would too (when they let me borrow their board)...

*last night (between bites of sushi) i did a 20 minute drawing...taking a bit of time to draw/doodle feels like a mini yoga class...give it a try!
* ngoc minh ngo takes such lovely snaps and they're adding the perfect spark to this rather gray nyc day...it's actually pretty cozy (now that we're back inside)....my 3 year old and i have decided to stay in...build a tent and order pizza for lunch...yum.
