Bright light....

*yesterday morning was mellow...tea and little sandwiches with a friend and her new babe at the cozy quaint spot The Adore...yum.
*the evening got a little more rockin...my main man and i headed to times square (not something we normally do)...to hear the oh so talented Ben Kweller play at Town Hall.
*not the best shot but i wasn't really interested in snapping pics....just wanted to listen!

Hang in there...

*i would love to slip into one of these skirts....or just stare at them for a bit on that lovely hanger....what eye candy!

Sleepwalkers...

* a few weeks ago, Marie-Eve tagged me: "Open the 6th picture folder on your computer, open the 6th photo and blog it. Write something about it. Then tag 6 more people to do the same."
*so....maybe 4 or 5 years ago (on a chelsea gallery rooftop)...i met a lovely french artist/filmmaker by the name of fiorenza menini. she was visiting nyc for a few weeks and asked if she could make two short films with me (mais oui!!)...one of the films was called "corridor" and the pics above are from that shoot....oh and i must mention that the very talented elizabeth cannon loaned us the dress!

*i'm not much of a baker...at all...but this morning my son and i made a massive batch of chocolate/peanut butter cookies and they were delicious (and so easy!)...the recipe is adapted from the famous magnolia bakery cookbook and can be found on smitten kitchen, enjoy!

Balloons and boards...

*mollusk surf shop sells rockin (and very affordable) prints and posters...i just framed the "ron stoner" poster and it brightened up a brick wall in our kitchen...check more spunky funky options out here!

so i'm on a sunny surfing kick...yes indeed...can't help it...i'm peeking out the window at the snow in nyc...my son and i just walked over to cafe grumpy for a late coffee/pumpkin muffins and scones (yum)...we may not be in the sun/surf but at least we're cozy back at home...

Soak and Sip...

*i sat in think coffee this morning and soaked in a few rays of sun while sipping coffee and eating a perfectly toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese and tomato...yum. such a cozy and tasty spot...it was hard to put down the paper and stroll to yoga (but i did)...

Flip flop you're it...

*this afternoon around 4ish i took a stroll with my almost 3 year old and it was the first time in weeks that we didn't need hats...mittens...scarves...it wasn't freeeeezing but it wasn't any where near the sunglasses/flip flop/rolled off the beach vibe of the pics above! a bit of heat beating on my back would feel delicious right about now. i'll have to hang with tea, warm baths and my cozy bed/husband.
